Service Description

This fun, easy paced, RunWithIan Group Trail Run will enliven your senses at any time of year and especially in winter. Starting from the historic and unique Kingswood Junction in Lapworth, Warwickshire where the Stratford and the Grand Union Canals meet we will take in the fabulous Lock Keeper's Cottage and 'The Link' (or 'Arm' as it is sometimes referred to) and which adjoins the two. We then head North along the Grand Union Canal at approx. 10-11 minute/mile pace and peel off after a mile or two onto pleasant country lanes up to Packwood House and run the picturesque tree-line avenue down to this magnificent National Trust property. From the centre of the grounds we head North again and then turn left back on ourselves meandering on quiet country lanes up to the Stratford Canal and eventually venture Southward back to Kingswood Junction where our cars are parked. This run is open to all abilities and serves as a great introduction to running off road. Non members cost = £7.50 per runner and RunWithIanMembers pay nothing. Trail shoes and warm clothing advised. Bring change for the car park and get there early to take in the majesty of the Junction itself.
