12 Bridges, 10-mile Trail Run

  • This 10-mile guided trail run starts and finishes at The Village Car Park, Barr Lane, off Broad Street, Brinklow, Rugby, CV23 0LU. The route starts by navigating a short trail section of 'A Coventry Way' footpath up to the Stratford Canal on through Coombe Fields Farm on 'The Centenary Way' into Moobs Wood, Nettle Hill and back down the canal to Stretton Wharf

  • The second half of the run comprises mainly footpaths running close to Stretton-under- Fosse crossing the railway line twice towards Town Thorns Farm and All Oaks Wood, finishing with a rewarding vista from The Motte at Brinklow Castle and back to the Church.

  • Budget for 2.5-3 hours

5 Villages, 10-mile Trail Run

  • This 10-mile (16km) group trail run takes in the five Warwickshire villages of Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Bubbenhall, Wappenbury, Princethorpe & Stretton-on-Dunsmore and includes sections of 'The Centenary Way', 'A Coventry Way', 'The Shakespeare Way' & 'The Coffin Walk'.

Forest of Arden Guided Trail Marathon

  • This popular trail marathon event has been added to the 2021 RunWithIan calendar for those of you who want to run a marathon off-road, take advantage of a guide (that's me), not worry about traffic and/or being in a crowded environment. The route is ideal for those running their first trail #marathon.

The Harry Greenway

  • This guided by Ian, circular 20-mile (32km) Warwickshire trail run starts and finishes in the town of Southam and initially takes in River Stowe to Ufton, passing Stoney Thorpe Hall, Harbury, Bishop's Itchington, Ladbroke and Napton-on-the-Hill. The Harry Green Way then joins the Oxford Canal and Grand Union Canal, finally passing through Bascote and looping back into Southam. The route is run predominantly run on footpath and canal towpath.

Nuneaton Rotary Trail Run

  • This guided by Ian, circular 23-mile (37km) Warwickshire trail run starts and finishes on Marston Lane in Bedworth, Warwickshire and takes in sections of both the The Coventry Canal and The Ashby De La Zouch Canal plus beauty spots Hartes Hill Hayes, Caldecote, Higham on the Hill, Whitestone and Bramcote finishing just North of Bulkington at Marston Jabbett. The route is run predominantly run on footpath and canal towpath

The Not The Venice Guided Marathon

  • Who knew that Birmingham has more miles of canal than Venice in Italy? This #RunWithIan Guided Marathon includes one-way standard class train travel between Warwick Parkway & Birmingham for every participant. The Run With Ian 'Not The Venice Marathon' is a running event with a difference. The day starts by catching the 06:28 am train from Warwick Parkway Train Station to Birmingham Moor Street in groups of no more than 10 runners

Sue’s Stratford Obelisk Run

  • This fun, easy paced, RunWithIan Group run is guided by Ian yet the route is inspired by Ian's friend and accomplished Marathoner Sue Stockbridge who lives close to Stratford-upon-Avon. This multi-surface, sociable run will enliven your senses at any time of year, and, on clear days provides great views of Stratford and the surrounding area

The Wa.L.K.

  • This picturesque Warwickshire based trail runs connects (Wa)rwick, (L)eamington and (K)enilworth and hence the name The 'WaLK'. The route takes in the Warwickshire villages of Cubbington, Stareton and Stoneleigh in addition to the three towns mentioned above - and offers open countryside, woodland and riverside running. The going underfoot consists of footpath, hardcore trail path, pavement, the occasional stretch of tarmac and some muddy sections of field
