RunWithIan goes in search of the Dun Cow!
The Monday Night Natter Group Run goes on tour to Dunchurch & Draycote Water on 28 March 2022.
Will we find the Dun Cow (the savage beast roaming Dunsmore Heath, an area west of Dunchurch, near Rugby in Warwickshire), which was reputedly slain by Guy of Warwick?

Monday, 28 March - 18:30 start
Meet at The Dun Cow Pub, The Green, Dunchurch, Rugby, CV22 6NJ
The #RunWithIan Monday Night Natter Group Run on Monday, 28th of March will start and finish at The Dun Cow in Dunchurch, Warwickshire and take in a loop of Draycote Water via Toft Lane.
This Group Run will measure longer than normal and in total will equal approx. 6.3 miles or 10.1 km.
As usual there will plenty of stops and the pace of run will be sociable at approx. 10-11 minutes per mile or 6:30 - 7:00km. Therefore, please allow extra time to include your travel to and from the Dun Cow.
Please also note the run will start 15 minutes later at 18:30.
Road shoes are advised noting we have one short grass section to cross twice.
The run is free of fee for all annual RunWithIan Members and is charged at £7.50 for guest runners.
If you own one, please bring a head or hand-held torch for the short off-road section between Toft Lane and Draycote Water Reservoir. This however is not essential as I will have a few spares with me.
For those of you who fancy a pint or glass of refreshment afterwards we will also meet Alice M. in the pub after the run. Some of you will know Alice and will also appreciate that she can’t run with us at the moment due to her broken leg. I know you will join me in trying to ensure her spirits are kept high whilst she convalesces.
As always, if you have any questions, please post below or contact me directly on ian.baynes@runwithian.com
